On 06 June, MINURSO celebrated Sweden’s National Day by raising the national flag at the Mission headquarters in Laayoune next to the UN flag. On this day, Sweden commemorates the election of King Gustav Vasa on 6 June 1523—the day considered the foundation of modern Sweden.

On 29 May, MINURSO celebrated the International Day of Peacekeepers by organizing a ceremony at the Parade Ground of Mission Headquarters in Laayoune.

On 18 April 2023, MINURSO launched its Instagram account as part of the mission's overall communications strategy. The account features stories about  peacekeepers  from all over the world serving in MINURSO.
