On 22 November, at Mission HQ and in the presence of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Western Sahara and Head of Mission Hany Abdel-Aziz, the Force Commander Maj. Gen. Jiming Zhao and MINURSO leadership, several Military Observers and Police Officers were awarded by the UN Medal.
The UN Medal is awarded to military and police personnel who served in a United Nations operation for six months.
