On 06 January 2023, SRSG and Head of MINURSO, Alexander Ivanko, presided over a ceremony recognizing the Bangladesh Medial Unit’s service with MINURSO. The event took place at the BMU Clinic in the presence of the Mission Leadership.

On Wednesday 21 December 2022, MINURSO held a military parade in honor of the newly arrived Acting Force Commander, Major General Chowdhury Md Main Ullah of Bangladesh, who arrived in Laayoune on 20th December 2022.

On 16 December, MINURSO celebrated Kazakhstan National Day by raising its flag at the Mission headquarters in Laayoune next to the UN flag.
