MINURSO’s peacekeepers: National Day of Argentina

On 9 July, MINURSO hoisted Argentina’s national flag at Mission Headquarters in celebration of the country’s Independence Day.

Argentina has been a longstanding contributor to UN peacekeeping since 1958. At present, three Argentinian Military Observers serve with MINURSO, supporting its

key work at Team Sites despite harsh environment of the Sahara desert.
