Personal Envoy for Western Sahara visits the Territory

The Personal Envoy of the Secretary-General for Western Sahara, President Horst Köhler, arrived in Laâyoune on 28 June 2018.

He was welcomed by Colin Stewart, Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Western Sahara and Head of MINURSO and by local authorities.

The Personal Envoy will be visiting MINURSO, where he will be briefed on Mission activities.

The Personal Envoy will meet in Laâyoune and Dakhla with dignitaries and civil society representatives to better understand the social and economic situation in the Territory.

On Sunday 1 July, the Personal Envoy will leave the Territory and on the same day will arrive in Madrid (Spain).
