On 11 August, MINURSO observed the Independence Day of Chad by raising the national flag at the Mission HQ in Laayoune next to the UN flag.

On 7 August, MINURSO celebrated Côte d'Ivoire’s National Day by raising its flag at the Mission headquarters in Laayoune next to the UN flag. On this day, Côte d’Ivoire obtained its independence from France in 1960.
