MINURSO Tindouf Liaison Office hosted an interagency celebration where women working with  the UNHCR, UNHCR Western Sahara operations, WFP, UNMAS and MINURSO gathered to mark International Women Day.

Around the world, progress on women’s rights is vanishing before our eyes. The latest forecasts estimate that on our current track, it will take another 300 years to reach full gender equality.

On 06 March, MINURSO celebrated Ghana’s National Day by raising its flag at the Mission headquarters in Laayoune next to the UN flag. On this day, Ghana marks its independence from the United Kingdom in 1957.
