Continuous training is essential for the safety of MINURSO’s peacekeepers. Egyptian peacekeeper, Lieutenant Colonel Hassan is marking an unexploded ordnance & mine fields as part of a regular exercise at MINURSO’s Team Sites.

Every year, MINURSO celebrates the National Day of Egypt. On 23 July 2021,Elshami saluted the flag at the Team Site Oum Dreyga, Western Sahara.
On the Independence Day, Captain Farias from the Colombian Army hoisted the national flag at the Team Site Oum Dreyga.
Unexploded ordnances (UXO) constitute a continue risk in Western Sahara. Captain Farias is exercising on marking possible UXOs that can be found during the patrols.
