During her visit to MINURSO, UN Deputy Military Advisor, Major-General O’Brien, travelled to the Team Sites to speak directly to Military Observers serving in the challenging conditions of the Sahara desert. On 21 September, Gen. O’Brien jointed MINURSO Military Observes at the Smara Team Site in the celebration of the International Day of Peace at MINURSO. On 21 September, Gen. O’Brien conveyed the Secretary-General’s message on the occasion of the International Day of Peace. Military Observes from 13 different countries serve at MINURSO Smara Team Site.
